Editorial, Registry & Index Information Barrier
How company identity, commercial requests and STN index decisions remain separate.
Registry identity is not index membership
The Global Company Registry describes companies and their public evidence. A listing, sector classification, product entry or verified claim is not index eligibility, selection or weighting. Public company pages may read published index membership; they must not write index decisions.
Claims and marketing requests
The governed company-claim workflow rejects requests for index membership. Verification of identity does not itself publish a company record or change an index. Marketing interest creates a separate commercial review path rather than an editorial or index approval.
Published information and pending decisions
Public membership displays use the published register, not pending rebalance or restricted decision stores. Thematic index release controls require their documented independent approval references and release-operator gates; a public registry correction cannot bypass them.
Editorial and commercial separation
Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate offers and referral interest are commercial activity. They cannot stand in for source evidence, an editorial review decision, or the governed index methodology. Engagement and click analytics are not a requestable mechanism for changing index composition or weights.
Questions and concerns
Use the public contact route to report a possible conflict, misleading commercial presentation or disputed registry association. Include the relevant public URL and supporting source; do not submit restricted or nonpublic index information.
