About this video

Retired U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" aircraft are being mothballed at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), known as the "Boneyard," at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona.

As the U.S. Air Force gradually phases out its A-10 fleet, these aircraft are placed in long-term storage, preserved for potential future use, or used as sources of spare parts.

The remaining operational A-10s are scheduled to be retired by 2030, bringing an end to more than five decades of service.
