About this video
U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron (HMHT) 302, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and airmen with the 621st Contingency Response Group helicopter support team conduct external lift operations during a deployment for training on Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Oct. 26, 2026. The deployment for training provided HMHT-302 with the opportunity to operate within diverse environments, coordinate and train with joint counterparts, and conduct maintenance and operations in an unfamiliar environment. HMHT-302 provides foundational training for new CH-53K pilots arriving from flight school and for pilots and aircrew transitioning from the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter.
