About this video
Airmen at Sheppard Air Force Base put their skills to the test during the annual Mission Support Group exercise, building readiness and preparing for the challenges of a deployed environment. Over four days, Airmen completed refresher training at their home squadrons before coming together as a unit to build a forward operating base. Once the base was established, it was time to put their training to the test! Training scenarios included tactical combat casualty care (TCCC), responding to security threats, identifying unexploded ordnance (UXO) and troubleshooting communications issues. In a deployed environment, Airmen may need to step outside their normal jobs and take on new responsibilities to keep the mission moving. Exercises like this challenge them to adapt, work together and stay ready for whatever comes their way.
