About this video
At 0530 hours on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Soldiers of Irwin Army Community Hospital gathered at Whitside Running Track to launch "Fighting Doctor Week." This week-long celebration marks the 10-year anniversary of the hospital facility and honors its historical namesake, Brigadier General Bernard John Dowling Irwin, the "Fighting Doctor" and the Army's first Medal of Honor recipient. IACH uniformed physicians, providers, nurses, technicians, dentists, NCOs, and specialists pushed their physical limits in the grueling Expert Physical Fitness Assessment Buddy-Team Competition.
Soldiers first. Clinicians always.
