About this video
U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors assigned to the 525th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, conduct flight operations at Tsuiki Air Base, Japan, Oct. 22, 2026, during a large force exercise (LFE) as part of Exercise Keen Sword 27 (KS27). The B-roll footage captures F-22 Raptors lined up along the flight line as crew chiefs prepare to marshal the aircraft for flight operations. These activities demonstrate the coordination between pilots and maintainers required to generate combat air power and sustain operational readiness. KS27 is a routine, biennial bilateral field training exercise with multinational participation, designed to increase readiness and interoperability between the U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Forces while strengthening the ironclad U.S.-Japan Alliance.
