About this video
Air University personnel and installation partners conducted unmanned aircraft systems operations at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, to examine emerging drone capabilities and improve understanding of counter-drone challenges. The effort brought together Airmen, technology developers and installation defenders to evaluate small drone operations and assess security forces’ ability to detect and identify unmanned aircraft. The initiative supports Air University’s mission to solve operational problems for the Joint Force by connecting emerging technology with the Airmen responsible for protecting installations and generating combat power.
