About this video
U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Eagle Troop, 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, conduct a platoon situational training exercise (STX) at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Oct. 21, 2026. During the exercise, Soldiers from other platoons served as opposing forces (OPFOR), creating realistic battlefield conditions that challenged participants to adapt, communicate and execute tactical operations in a dynamic training environment. The training enhanced individual and collective proficiency, strengthened combat readiness and reinforced the unit’s ability to respond to complex operational scenarios. Platoon STX training builds lethality through the disciplined execution of mission-essential tasks, preparing Soldiers for large-scale combat operations. (U.S. Army video by Sgt. Scyrrus Corregidor)
