About this video
B-roll of Jungle Operations Training Course (JOTC) students conducting simulated engagements during the course culminating exercise (CULEX) and participating in the Green Mile at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Oct. 22-23, 2026. The three-day CULEX evaluates students' ability to execute squad-level tactical operations, react to simulated enemy contact and maneuver through restrictive jungle terrain. Following the CULEX, students complete the Green Mile, a demanding physical endurance event that challenges their ability to overcome obstacles, maintain teamwork and persevere through physical and mental fatigue. These culminating events reinforce the tactical proficiency, physical resilience and adaptability required to operate effectively in challenging jungle environments throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
