About this video

Slips, trips, and falls (STFs) are among the more common, yet preventable, incidents affecting U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service employees. This video series increases STF awareness by identifying common hazards and demonstrating practical techniques to prevent these incidents. The videos show how to prevent STFs during water crossings, while navigating complex facilities, while hiking on trails and off trail, and while moving safely around vehicles. The series supports both field-going and facility-based personnel by strengthening situational awareness and reducing workplace injuries. This is the fourth video and it describes how to prevent slips, trips, and falls while loading, unloading, or entering and exiting vehicles. (Forest Service video)
