About this video
Aerial b-roll package of houses surrounding a farm that has held out from being purchased for urban development.
Mike Chase and his son Travis Chase own and operate Centennial Farms in Eagle, Idaho, a multigenerational farm that has been in the family since 1925.
They installed a pivot irrigation sprinkler system on their hay field with the support of USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). The pivot irrigation system uses less water, improves soil moisture uniformity, reduces erosion, and keep nutrients in the field. This conservation practice improves the water quality of Dry Creek, which runs through their operation.
