About this video
In preparation for the 63d Readiness Division’s Motorcycle Mentorship Program, the division’s commanding general, Maj. Gen. Windsor S. Buzza, conducted a 100-mile motorcycle ride beginning and ending at division headquarters in Mountain View, California on Oct. 2, 2026. The route took riders along winding backcountry roads while promoting motorcycle safety and awareness and building esprit de corps among Full-Time Support personnel. In support of motorcycle safety, riders were responsible for wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, ensuring their motorcycles were mechanically sound, and maintaining proper licensing and insurance. Since fiscal year 2018, the Army has lost an average of 24 Soldiers annually to motorcycle fatalities. The 63d RD Motorcycle Mentorship Program seeks to increase awareness, encourage responsible riding and ultimately reduce motorcycle mishaps. (Video by Sergeant First Class Kris A Wright)
