DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Sept. 17, 2026) — U.S. service members gather for a 24-hour prisoner of war and missing in action (POW/MIA) remembrance run onboard Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia, Sept. 17, 2026. The run provides service members with an opportunity to pay their respects to prisoners of war and those missing in action. “This is a hard event for a lot of folks just getting out here and putting in some sweat equity for those that really went through the hardest points in their life and chose to not give up,” said Air Force Master Sgt. Brandin Cobb. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Devin Kelly)
