About this video
U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 25th Infantry Division participate in the Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System (FRIES) Master Course at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Oct. 5-7, 2026. The three-day course develops qualified FRIES Masters capable of safely supervising fast-rope operations through classroom instruction, tower training, and day and night aircraft iterations. Increasing the number of qualified FRIES Masters across the division expands the formation's ability to rapidly insert Soldiers and equipment, providing commanders greater flexibility to maneuver forces across restrictive terrain in the Indo-Pacific.
