About this video

A common question we receive at Irwin Army Community Hospital is: What happens to my medication if I can’t pick it up within 10 days?

IACH's Outpatient Pharmacy OIC explains how the timeline works and how we've made navigating it easier for you.

Your 10-day window begins on Day 1—the day you activate your prescription via Q-Anywhere, the MHS GENESIS Portal, or our phone refill line. Weekends and holidays do count.

If your medication is returned to stock, your prescription is NOT lost. You can reactivate it using the Q-Anywhere app, the refill line, or our kiosk.

You don’t have to come in person to pickup your prescription. A family member or friend can pick up your medication. All they need is a clear photo of the front and back of your DoD ID on their smartphone.
