Welcome to Acquiring Minds, where we break down how the capabilities acquired by Space Systems Command are empowering our Nation’s Warfighters. On the battlefield, a dropped signal isn't just an inconvenience. Ultra-high frequency satellite communications keep frontline soldiers connected, linking local troops and intelligence with distant commanders and long-range weapons units. To guarantee that lifeline never frays, the U.S. Space Force and Space Systems Command are extending the Mobile User Objective System, also known as MUOS.
