About this video

As September marks Suicide Prevention Month, Fort Bliss is using the power of theater to bring an important conversation to the stage.

The theatrical production “Second Chance” explores substance abuse, personal choices, consequences and the path toward recovery.

Through storytelling and live performance, the production encourages Soldiers, families and community members to recognize the importance of reaching out, seeking support and being there for one another.

While the play focuses on substance abuse, its message extends beyond the stage. During Suicide Prevention Month, Second Chance serves as a reminder that difficult conversations matter—and that asking for help is a sign of strength.

One conversation can open the door to help. One person can make a difference. And sometimes, everyone deserves a second chance.
