About this video
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Amber Cobena, a Public Affairs specialist from Houston, Texas, highlights the critical importance of helmet safety during a public service announcement filmed at Robinson Barracks, Sept. 25, 2026.
The PSA serves as a safety reminder to all military personnel, civilian employees, and family members that wearing an approved, properly secured helmet is mandatory when operating bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or rollerblades on all Army installations.
To comply with Army safety regulations, helmets must be certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or the Economic Commission for Europe (ECE). For additional localized safety guidelines and installation resources, community members can download the "My Army Post" mobile application.
