The sisters are participating in the Army's Split Training Option, completing Basic Combat Training before returning to South Carolina for their senior year of high school. They will later continue the initial training required for their respective Army careers.
"Getting to Know the Njiyang Sisters" introduces the family, educators, and community members who helped shape the sisters before they departed for Basic Combat Training.
The series follows Violet, Velma, and Victory as they transition from high school students and JROTC leaders to Army Reserve Soldiers while balancing education, military training, and their plans for the future.
