Air Force Gen. Steven Nordhaus, chief, National Guard Bureau, flies aboard an OA-1K Skyraider II with Capt. Dalton “Pocket” Scott, a pilot assigned to the Oklahoma Air National Guard’s 137th Special Operations Wing, at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City, July 23, 2026. Scott, one of the aircraft’s first cadre pilots, is helping develop tactics and integrate mission systems for the OA-1K, strengthening special operations aviation capabilities across the joint force.
