About this video

A video highlighting the 31st Maintenance Squadron’s External Fuel Tank Build-Up Exercise at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Aug. 11-12, 2026. The exercise trained Mission Ready Airmen from multiple Air Force specialty codes to assemble external fuel tanks for F-16 Fighting Falcons. Expanding this capability across the maintenance workforce increased the 31st Fighter Wing’s operational flexibility, allowing Aircraft Fuel Systems Airmen to support forward-deployed operations while preserving the wing’s combat capability during real-world contingencies.
