About this video
U.S. Army Col. Jacob White, deputy commander of the 551st Infantry Regiment, and Command Sgt. Maj. Pedro Chavez, the senior enlisted advisor for the 551st Infantry Regiment, alongside the honorary 551st command team, uncase the 551st Infantry Regiment colors during a redesignation ceremony at Fort Benning, Georgia, Aug. 14, 2026. As the brigade assumes its new identity as the 551st Infantry Regiment, the focus remains clear: building combat-ready forces, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing deterrence across the Western Hemisphere. The mission has changed, but the commitment to readiness and regional security has not. (US Army Video By Spc. Darnell Howard)
