Firm-fixed-price Purchase Order awarded 29 Oct 2026. Purchase Order was awarded as a sole source Brand Name requirement in accordance with 41 USC 1901. The work contemplated in this contract is on the following ship critical safety items: High Pressure/Low Pressure Propulsion Turbines. Per COMSCINST 4490.1C, MSC N7, the Design Control Activity, has determined that only qualified sources may produce and service these critical safety items. Only authorized field service technicians have access to necessary technical data and have the expertise to identify and provide direct replacement parts for existing equipment, which must be compatible in terms of form, fit, and function with existing equipment or configurations. This ensures equipment reliability. Improperly installed or deficient parts could cause system failure and loss of the affected system or equipment while at sea. The identified contractor has been qualified by MSC to work on this system as shown on https://www.msc.usff.navy.mil/Business-Opportunities/Contracts/Qualification-for-Items-Critical-to-Shipboard-Safety-on-MSC-Vessels/

What this source notice establishes

The label describes explicit language in the synchronized official notice. A protest-related notice does not establish a GAO ruling, protest disposition or procurement violation. Follow-on or recompete language is not independent confirmation of an approved future procurement.

No winning company, loss by a particular company, transaction obligation or total contract value is inferred from the title or narrative. Silence, expiration, cancellation and another company’s award are not treated as a company loss.

This is a dated reference, not a claim that a notice was posted today. Removal from the active opportunity feed does not itself withdraw a historical notice. STN rechecks the latest completed stored source snapshot for this notice, including corrections and withholding decisions, before serving this page. Unavailable evidence is not replaced by a demonstration record.
